Sustainability

We aim to maintain the process of sustainability within our developments. From car-clubs to using environmentally friendly cleaning products; we do our best to keep it green!

Sustainability forms a key part of the business strategies for our clients and we aim to continue the promotion of sustainability from the day of handover. For established developments we look to promote, encourage and instigate sustainability wherever possible.

Our offices are also subject to sustainability good practices and the ethos is adhered to by all our staff where practical.

We interpret the meaning of sustainability in its wider context, so that we consider social and economic factors as well as ‘green’ environmental issues when reviewing the services we provide, the contractors and suppliers we use and how we operate as a company.

  • The provision and installation of water butts to a development to recycle rain water which are utilised for the communal gardens.
  • All staff are encouraged to car pool and travel to meetings in one car or by public transport wherever possible.
  • We are registered with Cyclescheme Ltd and have made loans to employees to purchase bicycles’ for the purpose of commuting to work.
  • Installation of low energy communal lighting throughout the developments where practicable.
  • We have installed timer devices and sensor-controls to reduce electricity consumption, and produce cost-savings.
  • We work closely with local authorities to encourage residents to sort and dispose of their refuse responsibly. Through actively promoting recycling, we have been able to increase the number of recycling bins on our developments.
  • We purchase environmentally friendly products where possible, particularly with regard to cleaning materials, and we ask that the contractors whom we appoint do the same.
  • We try to employ local people for on-site jobs so that journeys to work can be made on foot, bicycle or by public transport.
